7 DEADLY SINS WITH ANGELA LIN
Editorial Portrait Photography
Working with Angela Lin and Nicole to create the “Pride” character from the Seven Deadly Sins has been an awesome experience, I think these photos turned out amazing. The location was simple, we did everything at the studio in Lethbridge, AB. Nicole went to work on Angela while I started setting up some lights. My main light were two speedlights, and to fill I used a DIY Kino Flo. Throughout the day I used three lighting setups, the first was with two large 8′ v-flats set on both sides of Angela, and closing them so they were only open around one foot. The flashes then shot into the center of the v-flat and bounced out creating an amazing strip of catch lights. The 2nd setup was just a Westcott 7′ Parabolic Umbrella facing Angela when against the wall which was perfect for creating soft shadows. The last setup was a Westcott Apollo above Angela and a DIY Kino Flo below her to help fill in some shadows. After the photoshoot, I took the images into Lightroom and Photoshop to do the final edits.
